Principal's Message
Dear Wheatley High School Community,
With 29 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to fostering academic excellence and student success. I began with my journey as a high school teacher, spending nine years teaching a variety of subjects including Pre- Algebra, Reading, Speech, and English to 9th through 12th graders. After two years as an assistant principal and two years as a middle school principal, I went on to serve 11 years as a high school principal.
Throughout my career, I have been honored with several regional and state recognitions, including Region 10 High School Assistant Principal of the Year, Region 10 Middle School Principal of the Year, Region 7 High School Principal of the Year, Region 10 High School Principal of the Year, and Texas High School Principal of the Year. Most recently, I served as an Executive Director in HISD, where my region achieved the highest growth in performance. Beyond my professional achievements, I am proud to be married for 20 years and a devoted parent to three wonderful sons.
